Out of Network Provider (OON)

Koru Financial Therapy in California is an Out of Network Provider, meaning, we do not accept insurance. However, we can provide a superbill. For more info on how to seek reimbursement from your insurance company with a superbill, we can provide you with an informational guide.

1:1 50 minute Session

Individual Financial Therapy is ideal for individuals or solo preneurs who identify money as an issue or are looking to examine, in-depth, their relationship with money to change their financial health for the better. Read below about the different focus areas of financial therapy. 

These are 50-minute sessions that start with an assessment, identifying money mindset and money practices, and then setting and achieving goals. The number of sessions depends on the time required for assessment, intervention and/or goals of the client but on average is about 4-6 sessions.

Individual Financial Therapy Strength Session

1:1 90 minutes

The Strength Session is available for individuals, couples, or entrepreneurs who have a good grasp of their finances, and solid communication practices but have reached a plateau or are facing a significant financial crossroads.

The session may focus on 1 or 2 money matters and are typically one-off. However, clients who have graduated from therapy can use these sessions as maintenance.

Hi, I’m Mariah. I am a licensed psychotherapist and certified financial therapist - I™ based in California who focuses on helping individuals, couples, families, and entrepreneurs create healthy relationships with their money. My specialties include premarital financial counseling, ADHD, anxiety, depression, adjustment, and money disorders.

My educational background includes first, a BA in Sociology from UC San Diego, and second, an MSW, from UC Berkeley. My licensure is licensed clinical social worker in CA, LCSW65613.
